I would recommend this book to kids just like me that are facing the same challenges to go to the library and check out Blended by Sharon M. It will change who you are, it did for me. The public school system does not really put an emphasis on manga, and is really against the idea of comic books as a whole. However, without a doubt, I can say that reading mangas has impacted me more than some of the novels I have read in middle or high school. Assassination Classroom focuses on how the class of 3-E, a class full of misfits looked down by their peers, are supposed to assassinate their teacher, Koro Sensei.

Koro Sensei is an unkillable octopus-like creature who blew seventy percent of the moon, and plans to do it to the Earth as well. Some feats of his powers that make him unkillable is the fact that he moves around Mach 20 which is insanely fast , can regenerate, is unaffected by regular knives and guns, and much more. Koro Sensei, however, is by far the most endearing teacher since the history of class 3E, as he cares about each student's strengths and weaknesses, and takes time to home each student's strengths and encouraging them to work on their weaknesses.

For example, when helping his students study for their finals, he focused on identifying their weaknesses and taught them skills to make their weaknesses, strengths. Even though the class was the lowest ranked class, they managed to beat the highest ranked class in three major subjects. Additionally, he uses the pedagogical methods of the school system empathetically to guarantee each student manages to study a lot more for the more challenging subjects for each person, and hone the subjects each student is strong with.

This not only makes them good students, but good people and great assassins.

The book in itself has expanded my perception of thinking because it made me more aware of how incredible a teacher can be. Sure not every teacher has the ability to travel at an insane speed, regenerate, or is immune to bullets, but every teacher needs to implement a strong and close relationship with their students. Their relationship with the student helps the student recognize the passion they have, the person they want to be, and realize their full potential.
